National dispatchers
Do you want to monitor and control the Belgian high-voltage grid in an international setting? Can you calculate energy flows through the grid, plan work in the short term, and are a born multitasker? Then you will be right at home as an Elia national dispatcher based at our National Control Centre (NCC).
At the NCC, you face an ever-changing energy landscape, evolving regulations and the further integration of Europe's electricity markets. We make decisions increasingly closer to real time. It is up to you to coordinate national and international works on the grid. You determine the available transmission capacity and monitor the availability of energy in order to guarantee the continuity of the electricity supply in Belgium. Truly a job for engineers with a great sense of responsibility.

Fantastic! You've applied for one of our many exciting jobs. Our recruiters will screen your CV and give you a call if they like what they see. Soon afterwards, you'll have your first meeting with the recruiter and your future manager to see whether there's a spark between you, us and the job.

If the sparks are flying on all sides, we'll draw up a contract for you. Then, once we've discussed it together and signed it, you'll become the latest member of the Elia team. You'll have our Welcome app on your smartphone, giving you all the information you need to get to know us a little better. Welcome onboard!

Step 3: Starting work
We believe in giving everyone a warm welcome. That's why we hold an orientation day at our Schaerbeek site, including breakfast, an introduction to safety (of course!), some practical information and a visit to the dispatching centre and a high-voltage substation. We're pretty sure you'll be impressed!

Step 4: Reviewing your progress
After six months we'll invite you to spend a day in Brussels, where you'll review your progress and look to the future in the company of our CEO. You'll learn more about our culture, the energy transition and our projects, as well as meeting colleagues and asking HR any questions you may have. A reception will bring the day to a mouthwatering close.
