Elia is the operator of the Belgian high-voltage transmission grid (380 kV to 30 kV) and is responsible for developing and maintaining the grid, providing users with access to it and controlling energy flows. The Elia group is a team of 2,000 professionals who have the task of ensuring the continuity of electricity supplies in Belgium.

What you will do as a Recruiter:
After an onboarding period within the company (getting acquainted with the organisational structure, processes and corporate culture), you will handle the complete recruitment procedure for various job profiles (starters, technical staff and internal mobility) from A to Z. 
This includes:


  • Conducting intake interviews with the hiring managers to identify needs and translate the required skills and attitudes into a candidate profile.
  • Creating or modifying job descriptions to attract suitable candidates.
  • Publishing vacancies on multiple channels so that they are as visible as possible.
  • Conducting interviews: telephone screenings, face-to-face interviews and skills tests.
  • Communicating regularly and correctly with internal stakeholders (HRBPs, HR Admin, Business) about the progress of the selection process.
  • Preparing a salary proposal.

What you will do as an Employer Branding Partner:
Together with your future colleagues, you will help put Elia on the map as an attractive employer. 
You will do this as follows: 


  • Together with your colleague, you will monitor Employer Branding campaigns, mainly for French-speaking Belgium. 
  • You will proactively develop a candidate pipeline with a focus on French-speaking Belgium and with the help of various sourcing channels, including external job boards, social media, etc.
  • You will actively build up a network of schools and student associations in French-speaking Belgium (sponsorships, job fairs, networking events, etc.).
  • You will show initiative in the search for and implementation of innovative methods and processes in the field of Employer Branding (both offline and online).

Your Profile


  • You have a master's degree or have already acquired relevant experience in HR, communication or a related area. 
  • You speak fluent French and Dutch. Other languages such as English would be a plus. 
  • Previous experience in recruitment would be a plus.
  • You are communicative and you can work efficiently with the various stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • You are results-oriented and have a positive attitude towards your work. 
  • You are proactive, take the initiative and come up with new, creative ideas.
  • You can plan work and set priorities independently.
  • You are a true team player and are prepared to support your colleagues where necessary.
  • You have a driving license and are willing to travel regularly within Belgium.
