About agile at Elia Group
We have a fast-growing team of agile forces (this team is the agile chapter), both in Brussels and in Berlin, who support the organization as an agile coach and/or scrum master within the teams to bring more cooperation, trust, cohesion, meaning and continuous learning. The Agile Chapter is a Center of Excellence, a trusted advisor supporting, guiding and coaching the organization on this journey.
We are looking for a sub-chapter lead who will attract, develop and retain agile talents in order to support Elia Group on a coherent and transparent way. We expect the sub-chapter lead to support the chapter members increasing the agile maturity of the Elia Group.
About the function
As a sub-chapter lead, you will be the line manager of a team composed of internal and/or external team members. You will report directly to the agility chapter lead. As a sub-chapter lead, you will:
- Align and execute objectives of the sub-chapter in accordance with the chapter’s vision and strategy.
- Collaborate closely, acting as a sparring partner, with the chapter lead and different stakeholders across the organization, including product or project teams, and external partners to manage the demand and the capacity of the sub-chapter.
- Hire and develop the members of the sub-chapter, including defining career growth path, skill development, and performance reviews.
- Ensure best practices, tools, and methodologies are shared and standardized across the chapter by facilitating knowledge sharing, learning, and continuous improvement in the functional areas of the sub-chapter such as ways of working, talent management , demand management etc.
- Execute the change initiatives impacting the sub-chapter's functional areas.
- Participate actively in the evangelization and “telling the story” of the chapter through various communication channels to all key stakeholder Segments.
- Gather, track and report on the value proposition KPIs of the sub-chapter.
Specifically, as the sub-chapter lead for agility, you will:
- Guide the Chapter Members to support Elia Group towards a learning organization .
- Ensure we hire the sub-chapter profiles with the right mindset.
- 50% of your time will be dedicated to the chapter (supporting your sub-chapter members, acting as a chapter member and working on common chapter objectives) .
- 50% of your time will be dedicated to another assignment as agile coach (see below).
- Resolve priority conflicts due to resources availability with stakeholders.
- Contribute to convergences between different clusters.
- Lead by example, inspire, and influence the key leaders of Elia Group.
Your Profile
- You live by the agile values and principles
- You are an agile coach (or you want to become one) and lead people
- You are a good listener
- You have strong skills in coaching, mentoring, training, counselling and facilitating, knowing when to take which posture
- You have at least 5 years of relevant experiences in leadership with demonstrated success by, for example, building a vision, managing a budget, and making a team from a group of individuals
- You have excellent interpersonal skills, you enjoy bringing out the best in others, make them feel valued and help them grow
- You have at least 5 years of experience in implementing agile techniques and frameworks in different work cultures and environments
- Having knowledge and experience in the energy and/or utility sector is a nice-to-have, not a must-have
- You are fluent in English, additional language skills in Dutch, German or French are a nice-to-have
- You’re willing to work on-site for 2-3 days a week and travel occasionally to Brussels/Berlin (quarterly basis)
