Your challenge
As Asset Manager Underground High-Voltage Cables, you will be responsible for monitoring the condition of this asset fleet, managing risks, and defining the maintenance strategy and budgets.
To monitor and adjust the condition of the asset fleet, you will use information derived from incident analyses, reviews and technical analyses.
Within the fleet, you will oversee the implementation and management of the various innovative monitoring applications for underground cables, as well as their data and results (DTS/RTTR, DAS, PD monitoring, etc.).
Your advice and decisions will be based on your strong technical expertise. As Asset Manager, you will maintain a direct link with the maintenance teams and the engineering departments responsible for developing the network’s long-term vision.
What will you do?
The activities cover both existing and new assets:
- You will investigate information relating to situations regularly encountered by the maintenance teams.
- You will analyse incidents.
- You will develop policies and guidelines for maintenance, repair and replacement work.
- You will analyse diagnostic methods to improve asset reliability and extend asset lifetime.
- You will monitor the development and implementation of innovative monitoring systems: DTS/RTTR, DAS, PD monitoring, etc.
- You will define a health index, stock requirements and operating limits.
- You will analyse and develop concepts for the use of new technologies.
- You will prepare annual and multi-year maintenance budgets.
- You will develop and deliver training courses.
Collaborate, share expertise and make an impact:
- You will build expertise for yourself and the team through knowledge acquisition, training, experience, etc.
- You will apply processes and adapt them to the various departments within Elia (maintenance, projects, development, etc.).
- You will prepare reports, presentations and procedures in order to report on your activities and obtain approval for your proposals.
- You will use IT tools to support the various aspects of calculations and management.
- You will engage national and international companies to provide specific support.
- You will analyse the training needs of the project and maintenance teams, develop the required training and present it to them.
- You will provide technical advice to the various departments.
- You will participate in internal, national and international working groups and represent Elia within them.
Your Profile
- You hold a Master’s degree in civil or industrial engineering, specialising in electrical or electromechanical engineering.
- You have a good command of both national languages and a working knowledge of English.
- You have a strong interest in electricity and electromechanical engineering and are keen to expand your technical expertise and share it with others.
- You are able to investigate technical details in depth while also taking the necessary step back to place them in context, taking into account both the technical and financial aspects of asset management.
- You work pragmatically and are results-oriented.
- You are customer-oriented.
- You enjoy working with maintenance teams.
- You enjoy communicating and have strong powers of persuasion.
- Thanks to your excellent analytical and synthesis skills, you can explain complex topics clearly.
- You manage the tasks assigned to you autonomously and proactively.
- You can prepare clear, well-structured reports or presentations on the results of your activities.
