Function
The introduction of a Capacity Remuneration Mechanism (CRM) on the Belgian market has been one of the key measures within the federal government's energy strategy in order to guarantee the country's security of supply in the long term. The CRM aims at supporting the needs for covering Belgian security of supply (“adequacy") by allowing market players to recover their “missing money” through a market-wide and technology neutral financing market mechanism. Through the CRM, capacities are contracted via auctions, while Elia oversees their monitoring and settlement throughout the contract lifecycle.
The CRM Operations Team is part of Market Energy & CRM Operations, responsible for the operation of key market products such as Balancing, Flexibility, Black Start and CRM. The team delivers operational excellence, technical expertise and data quality across customer, market and adequacy processes. Within the CRM domain, the team manages the end-to-end operations of the mechanism, including prequalification, auctions, monitoring, settlement, reporting and transparency activities.
As a CRM Operator, you play a key role in the execution of these processes, from prequalification to settlement. You develop strong expertise in CRM rules and operations to ensure high-quality service delivery, compliance and operational excellence, while collaborating closely with market participants and internal stakeholders. Initially, the role focuses on auction, contracting and settlement activities. Over time, you will gain a broader understanding of the CRM ecosystem and may contribute to other Customer Operations and analytical activities.

- You will contribute to the preparation, validation and reporting of CRM auction and settlement activities, including KPI reporting, performance monitoring, contestation follow-up and impact assessments for exceptional cases.
- You will proactively manage the operational questions from the CRM Actors and internal stakeholders in close collaboration with the Key Account Manager Adequacy and the Product Architect.
- You will ensure the accurate respect of the organized process (automated and manual tasks) and involve the requested persons / departments within Elia
- You will contribute to the evolution of the CRM product by sharing operational experience, lessons learned and practical feedback to improve rules, processes and solutions.
- You will support user acceptance testing, operational readiness assessments and validations of new functionalities, ensuring that future solutions are fit for operations.
