Job Description

Excited to work for a key Belgian player in the energy landscape?

The Belgian and European energy landscape is in full swing. Did you know that Elia Belgium plays a crucial role in this? As part of Elia Group, a European transmission system operator, Elia Belgium ensures the reliability and sustainability of the electricity supply in our country.

Side-by-side with your talented colleagues, you will play a part in building a sustainable, green and reliable energy infrastructure that stimulates economic growth and reduces our ecological footprint.

Only together can we make the biggest impact possible! We believe in the power of diversity: we are convinced that an inclusive and diverse work environment leads to more innovation, creativity and better results.

Cluster Coordinator
Requisition ID:  11426
Posting Start Date:  24/08/2026

Function

At System & Client Solutions (SCS), we design the solutions that keep Belgium's grid reliable, accessible, and future-ready — from enabling grid user and DSO connections under growing congestion, to developing the non-frequency ancillary services that ensure system stability as the energy landscape transforms. SCS is a new department, born from the recognition that solution design, regulatory framing, and process innovation must be owned end-to-end, separate from day-to-day operations and customer management.

To support our strategic ambitions, we are looking for a Cluster Coordinator who will play a central role in steering key departmental processes, driving change, and ensuring alignment across corporate levels.

Your Responsibilities

1. Cross–Product Line Alignment & Dependency Management

  • Maintain a living view of cross-product-line dependencies — where one product line's delivery blocks, enables, or affects another (e.g., platform changes affecting product lines)
  • Surface and escalate dependency conflicts that Product Leads cannot resolve bilaterally
  • Coordinate cross-cutting campaigns and releases that span multiple product lines — ensuring sequencing, resource alignment, and stakeholder communication are coherent
  • Devote specific attention to support the smooth coordination of implementation spanning the scope of multiple product owners, to ensure consistency in the timing and priorities.
  • Ensure that product line roadmaps are visible to each other and to the Senior Management; not as a reporting exercise, but as a coordination mechanism

2. Governance Cadence Ownership

  • Own the operational rhythm of the product cluster: prepare, facilitate, and follow up on the departmental drumbeat, ABR (Annual Business Review), QBR (Quarterly Business Review), and SBR (Strategic Business Review) cycles. You focus on the product cluster needs and priorities, but coordinate smoothly with other product clusters wherever alignment and joint priorities are needed.
  • Ensure these cadences produce decisions and actions, not slide decks. You are responsible for the quality of inputs (from Product Leads & stakeholders) and the clarity of outputs (to the Senior Management and corporate governance).
  • You understand the expectations of all stakeholders, identify discrepancies, and make them explicit and visible in order to trigger alignment and clear decisions.
  • Support the OKR cascade: ensure department-level objectives are broken down into product-line-level key results, tracked with discipline, and reviewed with honesty — including flagging OKRs that are off-track before they become surprises
  • Coordinate product cluster inputs to Customer / Market / System direction-wide governance (sounding board, steerco, ExCo preparation), ensuring department speaks with one voice at corporate level

3. Operational Visibility & Reporting

  • Maintain financial and resource visibility across the department in collaboration with the PMO (budget consumption, FTE allocation, CAPEX tracking)
  • Monitor and report on KPIs and strategic progress at the department level; not as a data collector, but as someone who interprets what the numbers mean and flags what requires attention
  • Ensure the Senior Manager has the right level of information at the right time, synthesised, contextualised, and actionable

Your Profile

  • Product Operating Model Literacy
You understand how product organisations work — the interplay between product lines, chapters, IT delivery, and governance. You don’t need to be a product manager, but you need to speak the language fluently and understand why a product operating model makes different demands on coordination than a project-driven one.
  • Governance Design & Facilitation
You have experience designing and running governance cadences that produce outcomes. You know the difference between a review meeting that generates decisions and one that generates slides. You can structure an agenda, manage senior stakeholder dynamics, and ensure follow-through.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination at Scale
You have coordinated across multiple teams or workstreams simultaneously — managing dependencies, resolving conflicts, and maintaining coherence without owning any of the individual workstreams. You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and making judgment calls about what to escalate versus what to absorb.
  • Financial & Analytical Rigour
You can read a budget, interpret a KPI dashboard, and spot anomalies. You don't need to be a finance expert, but you need to be comfortable with numbers and able to translate financial data into management-ready narratives.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management
You communicate clearly, concisely, and at the right altitude for the audience. You can draft a Senior Management brief, facilitate a Product Lead alignment session, and coordinate with IT counterparts; adjusting register without losing precision.
  • Energy Sector Context (preferred)
Familiarity with energy markets, TSO operations, or regulated infrastructure environments accelerates your effectiveness. If you don't have it, you must demonstrate the ability to acquire complex domain context rapidly.

Experience

  • 5–8 years in coordination, programme management, or operational leadership roles — ideally within or adjacent to product organisations
  • Demonstrated experience with governance cadences (OKR, QBR/ABR, portfolio reviews)
  • Track record of working across multiple autonomous teams without direct authority
  • Comfortable with: AirFocus or equivalent product management tooling, Miro, Microsoft 365, Power BI or equivalent reporting tools
  • Prior experience in transformation or organisational redesign settings is a strong plus

Offer

  • Salary: a competitive salary package, allowance for representation expenses, year-end bonus, double vacation pay, meal vouchers (€10 per working day), eco-vouchers, sport & culture vouchers, bonuses based on individual and group results.
  • Insurance: group insurance, hospitalisation insurance, ambulant care insurance for the whole family and also personal accident insurance.
  • Vacation: You will be entitled to 20 vacation days and 5 additional vacation days, 6 local days, 4 exempt days (after 1 year of employment) and up to 5 long-service days (1 day for every 3 years in employment).
  • Social fund: Year-end vouchers, birth and marriage allowance. We will also cover part of the cost of glasses, a dental prosthesis or similar needs.
  • Communication: you will be given an iPhone, a phone subscription (for work and private use) and a laptop with internet reimbursement.
  • Discounts: you will enjoy a 30% discount on your gas and electricity bill.
  • Mobility: we will offer you a company car and public transport or a mobility budget.
  • Elia shares: Elia will give you the opportunity to subscribe to shares with a discount of 16.66% on the average share price.
