Controlling Project Manager

Function

 

Within the Corporate Finance Division, Controlling ETB serves as a key partner for the company and its components to achieve their strategic goals.  Our main mission is to optimally allocate the company's resources and to check that they are used in such a way as to achieve the company's objectives while complying with the accounting and regulatory framework.

 

The Controlling department has three key missions:

  • managing budget cycles, from the business plan and budget to monthly closings and forecasts:
  • co-steering the company by allocating resources and advising management on economic, regulatory and strategic matters
  • producing regulatory reports and defending Elia's interests within the context of tariff negotiations, both in terms of annual balances and the tariff proposal and generating specific reports for other stakeholders 


As a Transversal Project Manager Controlling ETB, you will play a cross-functional role within the department. You will have the following responsibilities: 

 

  • You will lead and/or participate in transversal projects in line with the company's strategic ambitions, such as guiding the business plan exercise, the tariff file, efficiency and financing projects,...
  • You will perform complex analyses and develop models to optimise the use of internal resources.
  • Within Controlling, you will be in charge of continuous improvement for the department's three missions.
  • You will represent the Controlling department on the Steering Committees related to the transversal initiatives concerning the projects mentioned above.
  • You will advise managers and members of the Management Committee on economic and organisational matters with a view to issuing recommendations (how to interpret legislation, decisions taken by the regulator and economic simulations, etc.).

Your Profile

 

  • You have a Master degree, for instance in management or in civil or industrial engineering
  • You have at least 10 years of professional experience.
  • You are capable of performing complex analyses with minimal support and summarising them in a clear way for various target groups.
  • You are thorough and have a critical, analytical mind.
  • You are empathetic and have the ability to influence decisions.
  • You are fluent in English in addition with a solid knowledge of  French  or Dutch.  
  • You are assertive and results-oriented.
  • You are proficient in MS Office and project management tools; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
  • You have no difficulties thinking outside the box and questioning needs or the current situation.
