Function
As a Data Technician ACC, you will join the “Asset Condition & Control” team, whose mission is to remotely monitor the condition of our assets and to carry out certain maintenance activities remotely through modern monitoring and communication techniques.
You will be responsible for the development, implementation, and operation of the database for dynamic data supporting condition-based asset management. The data analyzed by ACC technicians, the Asset Manager, and the Data Manager will enable Elia to make decisions regarding the management of its assets, thereby increasing the safety, availability, and reliability of the grid.
More specifically, your activities will mainly include
- The follow-up and daily management of the historian database for dynamic data. This involves
- Defining and creating tags, templates, reference types, categories, and security rules in the historian database, in collaboration with Elia IT Governance policy, while always considering the impact on and from the surrounding systems.
- You will also follow up and manage manual and automatic data interfaces with other databases, such as loading the asset structure from the asset referential Infraref.
- You will carry out functional tests after new developments or after a back-fill from the surrounding databases and troubleshoot data problems. If necessary, you will request intervention from the IT services and/or datacom.
- Reporting tasks:
- Include preparing ad hoc reports and dashboards at the request of the Asset Manager.
- You will consolidate and visualize data mainly in Excel applications to allow a detailed analysis, for example, of data quality issues.Your role also involves
- Optimizing data quality within Elia by proposing and following up on action plans to prevent or resolve recurring data issues, in collaboration with the Data Steward.
- You will monitor and analyze the monitoring systems (such as commissioning and communication issues).
- You will participate in the follow-up and daily operation of the remote maintenance management platform (for example, diesel generators, digital devices, etc.) to support various stakeholders (MAC, APA, AM, etc.), with certain activities carried out on digital devices connected to Elia's internal TCP/IP network. In addition to carrying out these activities, you will also be responsible for first-line analysis in case of communication problems detected by the ACC or one of its stakeholders.
- You will provide support to IT and IT developers during development activities, such as modifications to indicator calculations, dashboard visualization, and reporting.
- You will also support the Data Steward and Asset Manager with specific questions, for example, Data Mining. Finally, you may also be involved in projects for the development of equipment, software, and processes to support ACC activities.
