Join our innovative team as a Digital Electrical Technician at Elia!
Are you passionate about the latest innovations in digital electrotechnics? Do you want to contribute to the future of the Belgian power grid? Look no further; we have the job for you.
To accelerate the digitalization of its activities and the integration of new technologies, Elia has set up a special development program for technicians who want to take on the challenges of the constantly evolving energy sector. This program offers you the opportunity to participate in various maintenance and development activities for the high-voltage grid management systems of tomorrow.
As a Digital Electrical Technician, you will follow a tailored support program spread over several years:
During the first three years, you will work intensively with our technical teams to build hands-on experience. During this period, the main focus is on developing an extensive knowledge of the high-voltage world, as well as acquiring specialized skills related to our protection systems (secondary systems) through a combination of theoretical and practical training. You will become responsible for testing and implementing Elia's control and protection systems, which are the real "brains" behind our network. These systems are highly digitalized and involve work similar to industrial programming. As a member of our maintenance team, you will detect potential faults in our system and propose appropriate solutions.
At the end of the program, you will join a specialized Centralized Commissioning team that carries out specific tasks such as modifications, incident analysis or the development of new standards. This team is also responsible for developing future working methods for the integration of new technologies.
