Function

 

Elia will face many challenges in the years ahead (the decentralization of energy generation, changes to the current tariff model and the asset fleet, etc.). Innovative digital-transformation solutions will increase the efficiency and quality of our operations. 


As Domain IT Architect, you will act on various assignments by supporting and providing solutions to project teams at Group and local level (Belgium and Germany). You will be responsible of one or more expertise architecture domains. Operational governance activities, like guideline definition, delivering template documents and audits will be part of your tasks. 

Your tasks will include:

 

  • Define & design solution(s) in line with IT strategy and standards. 
  • Evaluate products, solutions & tools, run POCs in the Program/projects framework. 
  • Come up with a preferred solution / recommendation based on risk assessment, pro/contra, impact.  
  • Coordinate between Business and IT stakeholders- be an active member of the Architecture Committee and in RFP process’.
  • You will regularly report and share issues or insights with other Solution, Application, Technical and Data Architects to build together a common vision and direction. 
  • Audit compliancy of defined solution during the project implementation phase 
  • Contribute to the lessons learned phase. 
  • Keep abreast of the rapidly changing technology landscape.

Your Profile

 

  • You have a min. of 5 years’ experience in designing solution architecture in mixed environments, including market products and Custom applications environments.  
  • Extensive experience in integration in complex applications landscape (SAP, GIS, Custom applications, and market Solutions (on premise and Cloud solutions)) 
  • Open to new disruptive and agile approaches.  
  • Knowledge of Utilities/Energy sector in terms of solutions is a plus.
  • Autonomous with the ability to work in team and with teams.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, schedule, and execute assignments. 
  • Strong analytical skills, with strong problem-solving capability. 
  • Excellent communication and listening skills at all levels of an organization.
  • Competences in collaborative leading.
  • Intercultural mindset. 
  • You speak fluent English. Knowledge of Dutch or French or German is a plus.

Salary: a competitive salary package, allowance for representation expenses, year-end bonus, double vacation pay, meal vouchers (€8 per working day), eco-vouchers, sport & culture vouchers, bonuses based on individual and group results.

Location

 

Bld de l’Empereur – Brussels – (close to Central station)
Hybrid working model + travel to Germany a few times per year.
