Your Role: Expert in Asset Management
As an Expert in Asset Management, you will play a pivotal role in building a state-of-the-art knowledge center within the Elia Group, focusing on advanced Asset Management practices.
You will drive and support the Group’s vision around condition-based, risk-based, remote, and predictive asset management, developing related processes, concepts, and IT tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously improve Elia’s asset management concepts, processes, and methods (asset risk management, cost and performance management, maintenance and replacement policies, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with best practices in methods such as FMECA, conditional maintenance development, and business cases for asset life cycle cost optimization.
- Identify business impacts and transformation needs.
- Lead cross-functional enterprise projects to develop IT tools, data systems, and document management solutions to enhance asset management.
- Advise and challenge asset managers in drafting new maintenance and replacement policies, adopting a risk-based and cost-optimized approach.
- Contribute to Elia’s strategic partnership with the Spanish TSO REE.
- Train asset managers and stakeholders in asset management and risk management methodologies.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree or equivalent advanced degree.
- Basic knowledge of the electricity network operator’s activities.
- Experience in asset management is a plus.
- Ability to master risk management concepts and associated processes.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with logical reasoning, creative thinking, synthesis, and the ability to tackle complex challenges.
- Ability to work on both a strategic level (long-term vision, models) and a practical level (implementation in business).
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to bring different viewpoints together and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Proven experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Successful experience driving change initiatives.
- Fluency in French or Dutch, and English.
- Knowledge of coding/SQL is an asset.
