Your Contribution within Elia
Within the Taxes unit of Asset Support, you play a key role in managing the various taxes, fees and levies related to Elia’s assets.
These include both technical assets (high-voltage substations, lines and cables) and administrative sites spread across the country.
As a File Manager, you act as the main point of contact for the different public authorities responsible for these taxes.
You verify the link between the applicable regulations and the relevant assets, ensuring that all files are accurately and promptly handled.
You manage files for Flanders and act as a back-up for those in Wallonia and Brussels.
Your Daily Impact
- Prepare property tax declarations in accordance with current procedures and legislation.
- Handle all other tax declarations in line with the applicable regulations.
- Search, interpret and verify asset information in various databases.
- Analyse, manage and validate tax assessment notices.
- File and follow up on objections and appeals.
- Ensure financial follow-up of the use of third-party networks.
- Maintain contact with the relevant public authorities and internal stakeholders.
- Manage and update databases related to taxes, fees and levies.
- Monitor investment projects and decommissioning activities, and analyse their impact on property taxes.
What You Bring
- A graduate or bachelor’s degree in administrative or financial management.
- A strong sense of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- A responsible, pragmatic and structured approach to work.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Initiative, curiosity to learn new legislation quickly, and the ability to work independently.
- A customer-oriented attitude and a positive mindset.
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Technical knowledge of the Elia network is an asset.
- You are Dutch-speaking with a good command of French, or willing to develop it.
- You are willing to travel within Flanders.
