Would you like to lead a team of experts and play a key role in ensuring the safe operation of Belgium’s high-voltage grid?
As Head of Real-time Data Operations, you will lead a strategic team responsible for the availability, quality and reliability of the real-time operational data used by Elia’s control centres.
Through your leadership and expertise, you will ensure the smooth operation of a critical operational environment at the heart of the energy transition.
Your impact
Ensuring reliable data for critical operations
You ensure the availability, consistency and quality of real-time operational data, enabling our control centres to safely monitor and operate the electricity grid.
Leading and developing a team of experts
You lead, coach and develop a specialised team by setting clear priorities, fostering collaboration and creating an environment that promotes operational excellence.
Driving continuous improvement
You oversee EMS data management processes, monitor performance through KPIs and SLAs, coordinate the resolution of critical incidents and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
You also ensure consistency between asset data, the network model and the operational model while maintaining compliance with security, audit and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with operational teams, technical experts and external partners, you contribute to the continuous improvement of working methods and governance standards.
What you bring
- A Master’s degree in a technical field (Energy, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent).
- Experience with EMS, SCADA, network calculation tools or similar operational environments.
- A solid understanding of high-voltage network modelling and data management.
- Proven leadership experience, combined with excellent communication and coaching skills.
- An analytical, proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, Databricks, Power BI or similar tools is considered an asset.
- Excellent command of Dutch, French and English.
