Job description 

 

As a UX Researcher and Designer intern, you will be an active member of our UX Chapter and will take on various tasks, including the following:

 

  • Working with colleagues to lead UX research activities.
  • Preparing and leading workshops on functional frameworks, idea generation and co-design with both the company and users, or ad hoc workshops for user testing and focus groups.
  • Collecting data on user needs and feedback throughout the project by adopting appropriate research methods (e.g. on-site observations, interviews, user testing, surveys, literature).
  • Creating profiles based on user research and data.
  • Choosing the right interaction model and evaluating it using measurable criteria.
  • Identifying business processes and use cases, defining and formalising user journeys or recommending ways to improve existing journeys.
  • Creating storyboards, user flows, process flows and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Using our Figma design system to create wireframes and produce clickable functional prototypes with fictional data.
  • Presenting ideas, concepts and design solutions to various stakeholders.
  • Communicating design ideas and prototypes to developers.
  • Contributing to team efforts by performing additional tasks as required.

Your Profile

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with the following profile:

 

  • You are currently studying communications, languages or literature and have an interest in UX design. Prior experience as a communications intern would be a plus.
  • You have experience using social networks.
  • You are familiar with email management.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
  • You have good organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • You have a creative and proactive attitude.
  • You have an excellent command of English. You have a good grasp of Dutch and/or French. 

 

Practical details 

 

Internship opportunities:

 

  • This internship gives you the opportunity to integrate a master's thesis, and in this case involves actively participating in UX research and design within our team.

 

Period and duration:

 

  • You can opt for an internship in the autumn (September - December), spring (January - June) or throughout the academic year (September - June). This internship lasts between four and twelve weeks or more, depending on your availability and learning goals. You will work between three and five days a week.
