Your mission
As a Secondary Systems Expert, you will embark on a journey to develop in-depth expertise in secondary systems related to Belgium's electrical grid. You will contribute to key technical projects while receiving tailored guidance and training suited to your level.
Your role includes:
- Contributing to the management of technical concepts, such as underfrequency load shedding or busbar protection systems.
- Becoming familiar with fields such as:
- Protections and automation related to decentralized production;
- Telecommunications and remote control systems;
- System Integrity Protection Schemes (SIPS);
- Voltage regulation and virtual substations.
- Gradually developing a cross-disciplinary expertise that covers all secondary systems.

Your main responsibilities
As you progress, you will:
- Learn to manage secondary system assets: You will be trained to analyze and understand assets (controls, protections, batteries, telecommunications, etc.), developing expertise through feedback and interactions with internal and external experts.
- Contribute to defining technical requirements: You will assist in drafting technical specifications for equipment and learn how to assess solutions proposed by suppliers.
- Explore and validate technologies: You will take part in lab tests, field analyses, and audits to validate system performance.
- Collaborate on infrastructure projects: You will support project teams by helping define needs and ensuring the quality of delivered solutions.
- Share your knowledge: Once confident in your role, you will share your insights with colleagues and contribute to internal training initiatives.
What we are looking for

- You hold a degree in civil or industrial engineering, ideally with a specialization in electricity or electromechanics.
- You graduated recently or have 2 to 3 years of experience in a technical field.
- You are curious, motivated to learn, and ready to take on complex challenges.
- You are structured, meticulous, and results oriented. - You enjoy teamwork, communication, and learning from others.
- You are fluent in French or Dutch and have a good command of English.
- Experience or interest in electrical work, high-voltage substations, or asset management systems is a plus but not mandatory.
