Physical Security Specialist

Function

 

As a Physical Security Specialist, your main tasks will be :

 

  • Assist with the design of (technical) security systems at the various Elia locations;
  • Coordinate and monitor implementation of access control systems: implement and configure IT and Datacom Security requirements (protocols and politics, etc.) and also maintain and monitor security software;
  • Maintain various security systems that impact the way the organisation works at every level : Monitor the set-up and maintenance/updating of systems or specific components of the systems in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Act as the Physical Security SPOC for the Security Operations Center and on IT and Datacom-related issues & act as the offshore SPOC for security systems;
  • Assist and support internal and external stakeholders with any concerns about Physical Security technologies and systems;
  • Be responsible for various system audits (performance tests, security audits, penetration and vulnerability tests, etc.) and the evaluation of new systems during the POC phase;
  • Provide and analyse various types of reports to identify the strengths and weaknesses of security practices and technologies;
  • Provide information about innovative Offshore & Onshore applications.

Your Profile

 

  • You have a security background or work experience in the security industry;
  • You have a minimum of five years’ relevant work experience;
  • You have a knowledge of electronic security systems, including EAC (electronic access control), camera systems and fire-alarm systems for buildings, etc.;
  • You are comfortable with various technologies: both hardware and software;
  • You are fluent in spoken and written Dutch and French;
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving;
  • You have a high level of (ethical) integrity;
  • You have a high degree of flexibility and are able to work autonomously.
