Platform Expert Process Mining & BI

Function

We are seeking a Platform Expert Process Mining to strengthen our BI product team within the Elia Group. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for all technical aspects of our Process Mining solutions, with a strong focus on process mining and analytics. Working closely with the product owner, business analysts, and key users, you will identify, challenge, and implement the best technical solutions to meet customer needs while ensuring sustainability and maintainability.

 

You will work on the prioritized activities within the product from requirements management, including technical implementation, up to the go live. Active consultancy involvement in requirements management is required. The requirements should be critically challenged to ensure that the sustainability and maintainability of the technical solutions are kept in mind alongside customer needs.

 

As part of a transversal SAP BI product team, you will contribute to the evolution of our technical landscape—including Celonis, Signavio, SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud—supporting entities across two countries, with occasional on‑site collaboration at our Berlin (Germany) location.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consulting the product team and challenging the business requirements to ensure the best fitting solution
  • Provide technical and functional translation of the user stories (requirements)
  • Change of existing and development of new process mining & analytic solutions using Celonis and SAP tools based on the backlog requirements and prioritization.
  • Monitor the stability of currently active processes
  • Ensure up to date & relevant IT documentation  
  • Monitor and analyze technical market trends to ensure state-of-the-art solution.
  • Contributing to the SAP Chapter organization by 10% of your working time to work on personal growing, knowledge transfer and chapter evolution.

Your Profile

 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business administration or a related field or many years of work experience with process mining and SAP
  • You bring at least 5 years of relevant experience in process mining or in a comparable SAP/BI platform expert role.
  • In-depth Celonis and Signavio experience with Process Query Language and views, based on several years of professional experience with a focus on business analysis and prioritization
  • Extensive experience with SAP processes and analytics using tools like SAP Celonis, Signavio, BW/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Expertise in automation, particularly in Celonis Action Flows and Machine Learning Workbench
  • Good knowledge of Python and SQL with a focus on data transformation and data structures
  • Good understanding of the agile mindset and a product operating model
  • You are excellent at advising and communicating by turning business challenges into actionable data strategies, particularly in customer interactions, presentations and workshops
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box and roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch, French and/or German is a plus.
