Elia is facing one of its major challenge: powering the decade of electrification. The energy transition and the massive electrification will accelerate in the coming months and years. As part of its role as market facilitator, Elia is engaged in the development of a “Consumer Centric Market Design (CCMD)”. 

 

Increasing shares of sustainable energy resources and massive electrification generate a paradigm shift in the consumption behavior: demand will have to adapt to the available production. One of the key solutions is to foster the development of flexibility and, in particular, to unlock the flexibility located behind the head-meter of the consumer, while keeping this process seamless and beneficial for the consumer.  


The “Consumer Centric Market Design” requires the development of digital platforms and products (Exchange of Energy Blocks, TraXes,…) and other systems dedicated to the evolution to the Real-Time Price.
In this context, Elia is looking for Product Lead Energy Solutions who will manage and supervise a product line (composed of 3 to 5 products) and develop, formulate, and communicate a coherent vision, roadmap and budget in order to ensure alignment between the different products and create long term value for our customers.


As Product Lead you have the following responsibilities: 

 

 

  • Initiate, develop, and maintain contacts with (internal) customers and other relevant stakeholders, as well as represent these stakeholders within the own team.
  • Monitor, analyse and understand technological evolutions, market needs, customer and competitor behavior.
  • Prepare, propose, and manage the budget of the products, set-up the definition and implementation of (budgetary) performance indicators and provide periodical reporting of actual performance against these indicators.
  • Coordinate, develop, motivate, and coach a team of 3 to 5 Product Owners
  • Encourage, facilitate, and stimulate continuous improvement within the product cluster.
  • Provide periodic and ad hoc insights and reports regarding qualitative and quantitative data of the product line to the management team.

 

Jouw profiel

 

  • Master Degree in Engineering or equivalent by experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in the energy sector with a good knowledge of the Belgian energy market
  • Ability to work and experienced in working in a fast-evolving product environment
  • You are able to formulate a coherent product vision and collaborate with all parties involved
  • You have a first experience in people management
  • Very good communication skills; you are able to speak your mind in an assertive yet always respectful way
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch or French. Good command of German would be an asset

  • Elia shares: Elia will give you the opportunity to subscribe to shares with a discount of 16.66% on the average share price.
