Job Description
Within the Asset Network Model Product Line, several Product Teams develop solutions for managing our asset fleet, the Elia and client/DSO network, and the related geospatial data.
One of these teams is the Asset Record Product Team, responsible for the development and management of E2E solutions for the management of HV and LV Asset Data, Facility Asset Data and, to a lesser extent, Telecom/DataCom Asset Data. These E2E solutions not only include master data management, but also making this data available to numerous consumers through Data Products. This data is crucial for many critical processes within Asset Management (QRM, APMO), Field Management (FSM), System Operations (NCC & RCC), System Planning, Outage Management, etc.
For this team, we are looking for a motivated Product Owner who will be responsible for defining the product vision, roadmap and concrete delivery, in line with the strategy defined at Product Line level.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, your Product Line Lead and, of course, your own product team.
Your Responsibilities
- Define and manage the product vision, roadmap, backlog and growth opportunities for the product;
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements;
- Collaborate with other Product Owners within your Product Line (and beyond) to ensure a consistent vision and roadmap;
- Work together with development teams to ensure product requirements are clearly understood and effectively implemented;
- Prioritise functionalities and tasks with other departments, follow up on the product roadmap and milestones, and report on progress;
- Ensure operational excellence, resilience and second-line support for the product;
- Ensure knowledge transfer to first-line user support through manuals and organise out-of-hours support when necessary;
- Monitor and analyse market trends to guarantee the most up-to-date and advanced solutions (e.g. in information processing automation, data science and AI);
- Measure product performance and customer satisfaction using appropriate tools and techniques (e.g. data quality controls to measure product performance);
- Conduct user research and gather feedback to continuously improve the product;
- Foster communication throughout the development process and ensure all stakeholders and management remain aligned on the product strategy, progress and budget.
Your Profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field – or equivalent through experience;
- Proven initial experience as a Product Owner, preferably related to information management;
- Good understanding of core data governance principles (data quality, traceability, data ownership, data domains, data dictionary, data transformation best practices, etc.);
- Demonstrable experience with:
- Operational data management processes;
- “Data Mesh” philosophy, Data Products and Data Contracts;
- Data Quality KPIs and tools;
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, tech-savvy and curious about new technologies;
- Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills;
- Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to think outside the box and adopt a hands-on approach;
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams;
- Good command of French, Dutch and English (one language at C1 level, the others at least B2).
