Elia is the operator of the Belgian high-voltage transmission grid (380 kV to 30 kV) and is responsible for developing and maintaining the grid, providing users with access to it and controlling energy flows. The Elia group is a team of 2,000 professionals who have the task of ensuring the continuity of electricity supplies in Belgium.

Elia Group is looking for a Program Management Officer for its Cultural Transformation Program



Elia Group (Elia, 50Hertz, EGI and re.alto) is in the middle of the energy transition towards a decarbonized society and new evolutions and changes are increasing in speed. To remain relevant for a successful energy transition in a sustainable world, we have defined an ambitious strategy.

To ensure the success of the program, we are looking for a Program Management Officer. 



You are in charge of the following:


  • Coordinating actions defined in the program
  • Advising in content and approach
  • Advising in business transformation, change management and culture
  • Consolidating content input
  • Writing documents & PowerPoints for presentation to stakeholders
  • Collaborating to the conception, organisation, animation and follow-up of actions in line with the program.
  • Ensuring optimal information circulation and communication between program team/stakeholders.
  • Providing proactive support to progress follow-up (planning, budget, KPIs, surveys, quality and impact, risks and issues) and related progress reporting.
  • Ensuring overall coordination & admin support in realisation of program


You are reporting to the Head of Internal Communication & Culture and working in strong collaboration with the communication specialist of Make A Difference, and the rest of the core team (situated in Belgium and Germany).

Your Profile


  • This is a one year full-time assignment
  • You have at least a couple of years’ experience in PMO assignments where you have had success and pleasure. You know state-of-the-art project management tools, but also how to pragmatically adapt them to a given context/company and avoid over-complexification.
  • You are assertive and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • You have a structured approach with the ability to analyse and present information, and you are efficient in delivery
  • You listen to client requirements & context
  • You are a team player who brings dynamism and positive energy.
  • You have a specific interest for human development in general and company culture in particular.
  • PowerPoint, Excel and Word have no secrets for you.
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch or French. German is a plus. 
  • Experience in change management, and more specific in projects with a human centered focus, is a plus.
  • Experience with Scrum or Agile methodology is a plus.
  • You hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree or equivalent by experience
