Function

Elia wants to be a catalyst towards a successful energy transition by contributing to the development of a reliable, sustainable, and affordable energy system. By building new interconnectors and integrating renewables in our grid we stimulate the European energy market as well as the decarbonization of our society. 

To realize these ambitions successfully in a sustainable way, knowledge and expertise are essential. Therefore, we have created two new teams:

  • Power Electronics: Leading expertise in HVDC, FACTS like STATCOMs, synchronous condensers and AC filters.
  • Virtual Substations: Shaping the digitalization of our Protection Automation and Control Systems. This team develops new processes and concepts that are needed to implement our next generation substations.

 

As our Project Coordinator, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Projects: Manage schedules, KPIs, and reporting for internal projects.
  • Team Coordination: Liaise between Elia departments and external suppliers.
  • Resource Management: Ensure task completion within set timelines and budgets.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and handle project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Effective Communication: Establish comprehensive reporting to stakeholders and managers.
  • Innovate Processes: Develop and enhance project management office policies.
  • Logistics & Organization: Plan meetings and manage project logistics effectively.

Your Profile

  • Educational Background: You have minimum  a Bachelor's degree in science, business, or finance.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in project management, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Technical Acumen: Interest in Secondary Systems & Power Electronics.
  • Additional Skills: Interest in IEC61850, Digital Control Systems, and related technologies.
  • Certifications: PMP or similar professional certifications are advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Fluent in English, and proficient in Dutch and/or French.
  • Leadership Qualities: Resourceful, accountable team player with excellent organizational skills.

Salary: a competitive salary package, allowance for representation expenses, year-end bonus, double vacation pay, meal vouchers (€8 per working day), eco-vouchers, Sinterklaas and year-end vouchers as well as bonuses based on individual and group results.  

Insurance: group insurance, hospitalisation insurance and ambulant care insurance for the whole family.  

Vacation: you will be entitled to 20 vacation days, 12 additional vacation days and 2 exempt days.  

Communication: you will be given an iPhone, a phone subscription (for work and private use) and a laptop with internet reimbursement.  

Private PC plan: once every 3 years, a budget will be made available to you for a PC/tablet with software & peripherals for personal use.  

Mobility: we will offer you a company car and public transport or a mobility budget.  

Interest subsidies: after you have been with Elia for 5 years, Elia Engineering will be able to offer you a subsidy to reduce the interest charges on your mortgage loan. This will only be possible if the mortgage loan was taken out when you were already an Elia employee.  

Elia shares: Elia will give you the opportunity to subscribe to shares with a discount of 16.66% on the average share price.
