Project Portfolio Manager
Function
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic team at Elia. In this position, you will oversee the selection, prioritization, and management of a portfolio of IT projects within our IT Infrastructure, Datacom & Security department, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives and business goals. You will be part of our IT Infrastructure organization which is making sure Elia relies on strong IT foundation while keeping the lights on.

Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the selection, prioritization, and management of a portfolio of IT projects.
- Ensure alignment of projects with the organization's strategic objectives and business goals.
Project Evaluation and Selection:
- Develop criteria for evaluating and selecting projects based on business value, risk, cost, and strategic alignment.
- Conduct project assessments and make recommendations for project approval or rejection.
Portfolio Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and monitor the performance of the project portfolio, providing regular status reports to stakeholders.
- Identify and escalate issues, risks, and deviations from the plan, proposing corrective actions as needed.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are understood and addressed.
Your Profile
- Proven experience (min. of 5 years) as a Project Portfolio manager in a technology or engineering environment.
- Proven expertise in managing project portfolios, with responsibilities including project evaluation and selection based on strategic alignment and business value, as well as monitoring performance and identifying necessary corrective actions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of effectively engaging with stakeholders and managing relationships.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a change environment.
- Project Management Professional (PMP/Prince2) certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience in managing projects in a (cloud)/infrastructure services environment.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Good working knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a definite plus.
