SCADA Business Analyst
Function
As SCADA Business Analyst, you will be at the very heart of the interactions between Business and IT that are giving rise to this energy system of the future. Your central role will contribute to the company's technological advancement and will help it achieve its ambitious goals.
As part of the implementation of IT projects in the Customers, Markets & System Department, you will be responsible for the following:
- You will support the business in developing designs for new products and in driving the ongoing evolution of existing products;
- You will define business expectations and model the information and the operational processes leading to the design or ongoing evolution of IT tools.
- You will model the business data involved in development and evolution and accompany the development of an enterprise data warehouse;
- Based on business needs, you will analyse and describe the requirements for the solution.
- As a Product Owner employing agile/scrum methodology, you will establish the product backlog and define its priorities in collaboration with key project stakeholders.
- You will validate the functional analysis supplied by IT to check that the proposed solution completely meets specifications.
- You will validate implementations made at the end of each sprint by preparing test cases and running them.
- You will coordinate the implementation of applications from different fields within cross-functional projects.
- You will support the business in specifying and running software validation tests (UAT) and you will coordinate integration tests within cross-functional projects.
- You will train and help the business to use tools optimally.
Your Profile
- You have a Master’s degree complemented by at least 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- This experience allows you to draw up and validate functional specifications without any problem
- You have in-depth knowledge of business process modelling and data modelling (business information modelling).
- Experience as Scrum Product Owner or knowledge of agile/scrum methodology is a plus.
- You can think analytically, critically and conceptually while thinking in solutions
- Experience in the energy sector is a solid advantage.
- You speak and write English fluently supplemented by a very good knowledge of Dutch and/or French
- You work autonomously and efficiently as you are part of a product team
