Security Governance Specialist
Function
As a Security Governance Specialist, you are based in the Security Department at Elia. You act as the operational point of contact for Elia’s critical infrastructures. Within your task package, you follow up specific security projects with diverse stakeholders. This both administratively and in the field. You report directly to the Security Governance Manager for whom you also serve as a backup.
Specifically, your range of tasks includes the following:
- Preparing security dossiers for the Elia critical infrastructures
- Providing support in preparing legal defence plans
- Gathering information as part of the preparation of the security dossiers; establishing and documenting these dossiers.
- Coordinating and questioning stakeholders with regard to site-related items
- Requesting and supervising assessments
- Drawing up and formulating proposals for optimisation
- Stakeholder management
- Organising and attending meetings and site visits
- Maintaining periodic Security contacts
- Providing documentation of meetings
- Working on various security dossiers with others
- Organising and monitoring Security scenario testing.
- You will also actively take part in the performance of this testing and provide an analysis of the results of the tests carried out by our security partners

Your Profile
- You have a Master’s or Bachelor's degree (with a link to security) or at least three years’ relevant experience in a similar position.
- You are preferably bilingual in French/Dutch. Knowledge of English is a plus.
- You are able to work autonomously on a range of security dossiers and also to participate in internal working groups.
- You have the necessary communication skills and can adjust them to different target groups.
- You have a customer-oriented attitude and handle situations in this regard in a professional and service-oriented manner.
- You have the administrative skills in order to develop structured reporting. This applies to day-to-day items as well as to high level topics.
- You are versatile and can work simultaneously on multiple dossiers.
- You are stress-resistant.
- You have a category B driving licence.
- You must be in a position to receive a security clearance.
