Senior Internal Consultant - Strategic Projects

Function

 

As a Senior Internal Consultant, you will lead and deliver strategic projects that directly support the top management and senior leadership across business divisions of the Transmission System Operator. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping shape the company’s strategic direction and operational excellence. This role requires a strong mix of analytical thinking, project leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to compete with external consulting firms in delivering high-value insights and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic Project Leadership:
    Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives from scoping to execution, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and delivering measurable impact.
  • Internal Consulting Services:
    Respond to internal consulting requests from top and senior management, providing high-quality analysis, recommendations, and implementation support.
  • Project Structuring & Management:
    Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines. Manage resources, risks, and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Build strong relationships across business units. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to gather insights and drive consensus.
  • Executive Communication:
    Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and reports to top management, translating complex issues into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Digital hedge
    Stay informed on possibilities offered by AI and other tools to increase efficiency while focusing on added value tasks
  • Collaboration with External Consultants
    Collaborate or compete with external consulting firms, ensuring internal consulting services are of equal or superior quality and cost-effectiveness.

Your Profile

 

  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in strategy consulting, internal consulting, or project management, ideally within the energy or infrastructure sector.
  • Proven track record of leading strategic projects with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at executive levels.
  • High emotional intelligence and networking capabilities.
  • Fluent in French or Dutch and English. Knowledge of German is a plus
