Team Lead - Data Management & Team Coordination

Elia, a key player in electricity transmission in Belgium and Europe, is looking for a Team Lead - Data Management & Team Coordination to oversee our technical databases and optimize our processes.

Your Role

 

As Team Lead, you will work closely with the design study teams, as-built designers, and technicians. You will play a key role in the administrative management and quality control of the technical database supporting Elia’s energy infrastructure. 

 

You will be responsible for: 

 

  • Managing and supporting a team:
    • Supervising and mentoring a bilingual team (FR/NL) spread across three locations: Merksem, Créalys, and Schaerbeek. 
    • Acting as a coach: motivating, developing, and supporting your team members to achieve their goals. 
    • Planning and coordinating work to meet stakeholders’ needs while respecting tight deadlines. 
  • Ensuring data and process quality related to technical plans:
    • Overseeing the management of technical plans, from contractors’ initial requests to updates following project execution (within 3 months of completion). 
    • Reviewing plans rejected by technicians and coordinating the necessary adjustments.
    • Importing and migrating new documents into our management tool (ProjectWise), ensuring metadata quality and database consistency. 
  • Optimizing processes and training users:
    • Identifying opportunities for improvement in plan management processes and proposing concrete solutions. 
    • Training users on ProjectWise and acting as the main point of contact for any questions or issues with the tool. 
    • Conducting audits to ensure data quality and compliance with internal processes. 

Your Profile

 

We are looking for a passionate leader with an interest in technical plans and team management challenges: 

 

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in electricity, electromechanics, or have equivalent experience.
  • You have experience in team management and excellent organizational skills. 
  • You are familiar with databases and tools such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook). Knowledge of ProjectWise is a plus. 
  • You are bilingual (FR/NL) and have a good command of English (or are willing to improve).
  • You are mobile and ready to travel weekly to our three locations. 
  • You have a BA4 certificate or are willing to obtain one.
