To strengthen our multilingual translation team, we are looking for a dedicated bilingual German – English Translator who is eager to be part of a dynamic, knowledge-driven environment.

 

In this role, you are responsible for translating and quality-assuring complex and often highly technical content for companies within the Elia Group. You will work closely with internal experts and colleagues and ensure uniform, comprehensible and technically correct communication.

 

Your Responsibilities :

  • Translate texts from Dutch, French, German and English into German and/or English.
  • Revise, proofread and monitor the quality of translations delivered by colleagues or external partners.
  • Safeguard terminological consistency across your language combinations, aligned with internal guidelines and sector-specific terminology.
  • Collaborate with experts to ensure the content accuracy of translations.
  • Actively contribute to the development of terminology databases and translation memories.
  • Support multilingual editorial work where needed (summaries, rewrites, post-editing, layout checks, etc.).
  • Promote innovation in translation processes, including AI supported workflows.

Zur Verstärkung unseres mehrsprachigen Übersetzungsteams suchen wir eine(n) zweisprachige(n) Übersetzer(in) Deutsch – Englisch.

In dieser Funktion sind Sie verantwortlich für die Übersetzung sowie die Qualitätssicherung komplexer und häufig hochtechnischer Inhalte für die Unternehmen innerhalb der Elia Group. Sie arbeiten eng mit internen Fachexpert (innen) und Kolleg(innen) zusammen und stellen eine einheitliche, verständliche und fachlich korrekte Kommunikation sicher.

 

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Übersetzung von Texten aus dem Niederländischen, Französischen, Deutschen und Englischen ins Deutsche und/oder Englische.
  • Überarbeitung, Korrekturlesen und Qualitätskontrolle von Übersetzungen interner Kolleg (innen) sowie externer Dienstleister(innen).
  • Sicherstellung der terminologischen Konsistenz gemäß internen Standards und branchenspezifischer Terminologie.
  • Abstimmung mit internen Fachexpert (innen) zur Sicherstellung der inhaltlichen und terminologischen Richtigkeit.
  • Aktive Mitarbeit an der Pflege und Weiterentwicklung von Terminologiedatenbanken und Translation Memories.
  • Unterstützung bei mehrsprachigen redaktionellen Tätigkeiten (z.  B. Zusammenfassungen, Überarbeitungen, Post Editing, Layoutprüfungen)
  • Beitrag zur kontinuierlichen Verbesserung von Übersetzungsprozessen, einschließlich KI-gestützter Lösungen

 

Your Profile

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Translation, or equivalent qualification.
  • Native-level German (C2 level) and native or near-native English (C1-C2) proficiency.
  • Ability to work confidently with Dutch, French and German or English as source languages (minimum B2/C1 level).
  • Accurate working style, strong linguistic sensitivity and ability to express complex technical information clearly.
  • Able to work effectively in an environment where quality, collaboration, flexibility and deadlines are key.
  • Not a must, but nice to have:
    • Experience in professional translation and revision work.
    • Familiarity with CAT tools (preferably Trados Studio).

Ihre Kompetenzen

 

  • Bachelor-  oder Masterabschluss im Fachbereich Übersetzung oder eine gleichwertige Qualifikation.
  • Deutsch auf muttersprachlichem Niveau (C2) sowie Englisch auf muttersprachlichem oder nahezu muttersprachlichem Niveau (mindestens C1).
  • Sehr gute Kenntnisse des Niederländischen und/oder  Französischen als Quellsprachen (mindestens Niveau B2/C1).
  • Strukturierte und präzise Arbeitsweise mit ausgeprägtem sprachlichem Qualitätsbewusstsein sowie die Fähigkeit, komplexe technische Inhalte klar, präzise und adressat*innengerecht darzustellen.
  • Teamorientierte Arbeitsweise sowie Fähigkeit, in einem qualitäts- , termin-  und ergebnisorientierten Umfeld zu arbeiten.
  • Kein Muss, aber von Vorteil:
    • Erfahrung in der professionellen Übersetzungs-  und Revisionsarbeit.
    • Erfahrung mit CAT Tools, vorzugsweise Trados Studio.
