Consolidation and Reporting Manager
Function
As ‘Consolidation and Reporting Manager’ you are responsible for the consolidation and the preparation of BE GAAP and IFRS reporting.
You are part of Elia’s Accounting, Tax and Reporting team and report directly to the Accounting and Finance Manager. By being enthusiastic, taking the initiative and realising objectives, you fulfil an important role within a dynamic and motivated Accounting & Finance team.
The function encompasses:
- Supervising the month-closing activities (General Ledger) for the Belgian centrally managed enterprises (internal customers) together with Accounting and the Tax Manager;
- Preparing the monthly reporting in accordance with BE GAAP for internal & regulatory purposes;
- Coordinating the monthly BE GAAP and IFRS consolidation activities;
- Preparing the monthly/periodic IFRS reporting;
- Following-up on the enterprises within the group: critical assessment of the reporting package, complex accounting matters, business review;
- Following-up on the most important tax issues including the correct calculation of deferred taxes;
- Preparation, coordination of the IFRS six-monthly/annual reports for a variety of consolidation scopes;
- Assisting with the required periodic analyses, such as impairment tests or pension accounting;
- Acting as Centre of Excellence for accounting questions under BE GAAP & IFRS;
- Monitoring the correct application of tax and accounting aspects and communicating with internal customers regarding IFRS and deferred tax-related questions;
- Preparing and/or reviewing the reporting to various external bodies such as NBB, ESEF;
- Maintaining contact with external auditors and external organisations within the context of the activities specified above;
- You provide assistance and support for projects in which the accounting department is involved, both within Elia Belgium and within the Elia Group;
- You define internal procedures, identify opportunities to further digitalise/optimise the tasks within the team and ensure their implementation in a continually changing environment as regards needs, regulations, digitalisation, etc.
Your Profile
- You have a Master’s degree in economics and/or have relevant experience of at least 5 years in the financial domain (BE GAAP accountancy, IFRS reporting, financial audit, etc.).
- You have a thorough knowledge of SAP FI/CO, consolidation tools such as SAP BPC and Excel, and an interest in digital tools/evolution/data analysis.
- You have a good knowledge of accounting, taxation, consolidation and IFRS.
- You are able to take on your tasks independently and proactively and to set your priorities.
- You have a sharp analytical mind and are able to solve problems.
- You work in an accurate and methodical manner.
- You have good communication skills.
- You are customer-oriented, dynamic and result-oriented.
- Team player, you are part of a high performing team.
- You have a good knowledge of French, Dutch and English.
