Function
Bring your expertise and lead the Customers department in strengthening partnerships with sector federations, increasing awareness and advocacy on Elia’s strategic topics, and building trust with new customer segments. This role is central to making Elia’s objectives understood and supported externally while enhancing feedback loops internally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively engage with sector federations and key partners to advance Elia’s strategic objectives (e.g., flexibility, congestion management), ensuring clear, outcome-based deliverables.
- Review existing partnerships for relevance and effectiveness, identifying improvement opportunities.
- Conduct analyses to identify and evaluate potential partnership extensions aligned with strategic ambitions.
- Build awareness around Elia’s key topics and act as an ambassador for the company’s objectives.
- Represent Elia as a speaker or panelist at external events, conferences, and industry forums.
- Establish trust and maintain a strong network within target customer segments, focusing on deepening relationships.
- Develop and implement a structured process to share relevant external information (market insights, partner developments, regulatory trends) internally and relay feedback to product teams.
- Define, select, and implement a CRM tool tailored to CMS department needs.
- Support product teams in connecting with the external environment by identifying the right contacts and developing outreach strategies.
Your Profile
- You hold a Master’s degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field.

You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in business development, stakeholder management, partnerships, or sector federations within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors. This has given you demonstrable knowledge and experience in flexibility services, grid congestion, connections, etc.
- You are an excellent communicator, comfortable presenting and representing Elia at external events in Dutch, French, and English.
- You have strong relationship-building skills, with a proven track record of developing trust and networks in a B2B or institutional context.
- You have an analytical mindset, able to assess partnerships objectively and identify opportunities for strategic alignment and growth.
- You possess project management skills, including multi-stakeholder coordination.
- You are familiar with CRM systems and stakeholder management processes, with the ability to define and implement new tools or processes.
