Function
The Compensation & Benefits Analyst reports to the C&B Manager and provides operational, analytical and advisory support within the C&B team.
The role focuses on the consistent application, maintenance and continuous optimisation of compensation and benefits policy, processes and systems, in accordance with current social, tax and employment legislation.
The Compensation & Benefits Analyst collaborates closely with the Compensation & Benefits Manager and various internal stakeholders, to ensure that compensation structures and benefit programmes are legally compliant, transparent and market-based.
The main duties are as follows:
Compensation & Benefits Operations
- Managing, validating and monitoring the quality, completeness and accuracy of data in compensation & benefits systems, in accordance with internal governance and control requirements;
- Providing clear, correct and policy-compliant information and advice to employees and internal stakeholders in respect of salary structures, benefits and relevant HR policies;
- Supporting the day-to-day management of remuneration components, including fixed and variable remuneration, benefits in kind, mobility schemes, insurance schemes and related policy domains.
Policy Implementation & Compliance
- Assisting with the implementation and consistent application of compensation & benefits policies, with particular attention to compliance with social, tax and employment regulations;
- Contributing to the documentation, maintenance and continuous improvement of C&B policies, procedures and internal guidelines;
- Supporting internal control and audit processes in respect of compensation & benefits governance.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Working (as a project manager) with your team to initiate, develop and implement projects, focusing on change, the international dimension of Elia Group and new domains within compensation & benefits;
- Participating in local and international compensation & benefits projects, such as system improvements, policy updates and process optimisations;
- Supporting change and communication initiatives in respect of compensation & benefits programmes, with transparency, clarity and stakeholder engagement in mind.
Your Profile
- A Master's degree in Law, Economics, Human Resources or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree supplemented with equivalent relevant professional experience;
- Some relevant work experience (approximately 5 years) in compensation & benefits, payroll or a similar HR role with a strong operational and analytical focus;
- A demonstrable knowledge of employment law, social security, tax regulations and basic payroll principles;
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, discretion and confidentiality where sensitive data is concerned;
- A sound understanding of compensation & benefits structures in a corporate and/or international context;
- Extensive knowledge of HR systems and data tools; an in-depth knowledge of Excel or equivalent analysis tools is essential;
- The ability to translate complex legal and technical information into clear and structured advice for internal stakeholders;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- A fluent knowledge of Dutch, French and English. Necessary to function efficiently in a multilingual and international work environment;
- A professional, assertive and service-oriented attitude when interacting with internal clients and stakeholders;
- A strong ethical awareness and pronounced attention to compliance;
- The ability to work independently while also contributing constructively to multidisciplinary and international teams;
- Stress-resistant and the ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a dynamic and confidential context;
- A customer-oriented mindset with a focus on high-quality, reliable HR services.
