Domain Lead

Function

 

A Domain Lead is responsible for overseeing the operational, developmental, and people-related aspects of their sub-chapter. They play a crucial role in ensuring that their team contributes effectively to the organisation's objectives and that team members are equipped with the necessary skills and tools to excel in their roles.

 

    1. Domain Operations:
      • Manage the day-to-day operations of the domain team.
      • Periodically review the team's output and deliveries.
      • Ensure that service delivery meets predefined requirements, including speed, quality, and cost.
      • Ensure that operations run smoothly in alignment with the product teams' needs and performance objectives.
    2. Capability Development:
      • Ensure that team members develop their skills and expertise through training, coaching, and knowledge transfer.
      • Keep team members informed about internal and external developments in their area of expertise.
      • Ensure that product teams have access to the required skills and expertise from the chapter members.
    3. People Management:
      • Coordinate, develop, motivate, and coach chapter members using HR policies provided by the HR department.
      • Ensure that employees are engaged and capable of achieving functional objectives.
      • Optimize the deployment of employees both quantitatively and qualitatively.
    4. Tooling & Frameworks:
      • Collaborate with the Chapter Lead to identify and implement relevant tools and frameworks within the domain.
      • Provide support to chapter members by giving them access to necessary tools and frameworks.
      • Enhance productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness among chapter members through the use of appropriate tools and frameworks.
    5. Talent Sourcing:
      • Source, recruit, and hire suitable talent for the domain based on product team requirements and the chapter organisation's strategy.
      • Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates.
      • Successfully recruit professionals who meet the evolving needs of the business.
    6. Allocation Process:
      • Allocate chapter members to product teams based on their skills, expertise, and the requirements of the product teams.
      • Ensure that the right chapter members are assigned to the right product teams.
      • Create a balanced and high-performing workforce by matching skills to team requirements.

Your Profile

 

  • You hold a degree in civil engineering, commercial engineering, or a Master's degree in science, or an equivalent qualification.
  • You have at least five years of relevant experience, ideally including three years in a management role within business analysis.
  • You demonstrate strong project management and leadership capabilities, fostering collaboration and team development.
  • You excel in mentoring and coaching team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • You possess in-depth knowledge of business process modelling and data modelling (business information modelling).
  • You exhibit excellent analytical, conceptual, and leadership abilities.
  • You have initial professional experience in the energy sector, with strategic insight into industry trends and challenges.
  • You have an excellent command of Dutch and/or French, and a good command of English.
  • You are highly customer-focused, adaptable, and critically minded, consistently ensuring alignment with client needs and strategic goals.
