Job description 

 

As an As Built High Voltage Designer intern, you will play a crucial role within our team.

 

 

  • You will work closely with an experienced as-built draughtsman to update high-voltage plans after projects and integrate changes made by technicians.
  • You will check the quality of the plans to guarantee the safety and skills of substation personnel.
  • You will apply the design methodology to create efficient and accurate plans.
  • You will receive training in Bentley MicroStation/Bentley Substation design software and ProjectWise for plan data management.
  • You will take part in monthly knowledge transfer meetings during which you will be informed of project updates.
  • You will attend monthly meetings to identify and write up changes to substations and ensure accurate documentation of all relevant data.

Your Profile

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with the following profile:

 

You are currently working towards your bachelor's degree as a draughtsman and are seeking an internship in a corporate environment.
You have an excellent command of Dutch. You have a good grasp of French.
You have experience using design software (knowledge of Bentley MicroStation would be an advantage) and you can draw in 3D.
You are proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.
Your strengths include team spirit, flexibility, a positive attitude, communication skills and customer focus.
You are responsible and adopt a meticulous, well-organised and pragmatic approach to your work.
You are willing to travel to various Elia sites in Belgium.

Period and duration:

 

  • This internship can take place throughout the academic year. It lasts for at least four months and is a full-time role (five days a week).
