Assistant Maintenance Manager for the Gouy - Schaerbeek South Zone
Function
As the Assistant Maintenance Manager for the Southwest Zone, you will contribute to manage the interventions (inspections, maintenance, and incident follow-up) on the Belgian high-voltage network in the Gouy – Schaerbeek South region.
In this role, you report to the Maintenance Manager for this region, who holds overall responsibility for ‘Substations’ and ‘Linear Assets & Structures’ activities in the Gouy – Schaerbeek South zone.
Your responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Maintenance Manager with the organization, monitoring, and optimization of on-site interventions, ensuring continuous, reliable and safe services;
- Supporting the Maintenance Manager and Foreman’s in managing the different field team and supporting their development;
- Contributing to the harmonization of processes and working methods in collaboration with the Maintenance Managers, Asset Mangers and our Operational Center of Excellence;
- Validating new infrastructure within investment projects, considering operational safety requirements;
- Implementing new safety regulations and actively monitoring the application of existing safety measures in the field;
- Being cost-conscious and monitoring budgets in line with budgetary policies;
- Acting as the technical point of contact for internal and external clients;
- Advising the Maintenance Manager on optimizing the department’s structure and processes;
- Leading or participating in various projects and working groups.
Your Profile
- You hold a degree in civil or industrial engineering, or equivalent experience.
- You have a few years of experience in a similar role and are familiar with high-voltage electricity networks.
- You possess strong organizational skills.
- You have sharp analytical skills and solid problem-solving abilities.
- You are bilingual in French and Dutch and have a good command of English.
