Function
During this internship, you will have the opportunity to provide technical support to the Assets Offshore team in data analysis and assist in the research development of remote monitoring technology. Specifically, your duties will be as follows:
- You will assist in analyzing and interpreting meteorological data collected by offshore equipment. You will identify trends; help predict weather patterns and detect any anomalies.
- You support research into the latest technologies and methods of meteorological data collection and analysis. You help compare the performance of different types of equipment.
- You help design and conduct studies to improve the performance and accuracy of meteorological equipment. You think about possible modifications to the equipment and its use.
- You assist in preparing technical reports and documents describing the findings of remote monitoring activities.
- You assist in the maintenance of the meteorological equipment, including troubleshooting and assisting with repairs or necessary replacements.
Your Profile
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with the following profile:
- Bachelor or Master student of Electromechanics or energy engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A foundation in programming and working with databases for data analysis tasks. Knowledge of static analysis and modelling is a plus.
- Knowledge of meteorological instrumentation and data analysis techniques may be useful.
- Excellent command of Dutch. Knowledge of English is a plus.
- A proactive attitude with good communication skills and working in a team.
Offer
Period and Duration:
The period of the internship takes place from June to September or from September to December, with a duration of minimum 4 weeks and maximum 12 weeks where you are expected to work 2 to 4 days a week. This internship also provides the opportunity for integration and supervision of the master’s thesis.
