Help build safe and reliable offshore operations
Within Grid Services Offshore & Power Electronics, we ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our offshore and onshore assets every day. Safety is always our top priority.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the maintenance, operational follow-up and continuous development of offshore substations, HVDC converter stations and subsea cable systems. You will also play an active role in integrating new assets and supporting the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects.
Your impact
As Safety & Operations Officer – Offshore & Power Electronics, you will support the daily Operation & Maintenance (O&M) activities of our offshore and onshore assets. Working closely with the operational team and the Field Operations Manager, you will combine safety, coordination and operational support with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring operational safety and strengthening the team’s safety culture.
- Organising ERP exercises and planning and following up training, certifications and inspections.
- Preparing and reviewing procedures, method statements, risk assessments and other safety documentation.
- Preparing, coordinating and following up offshore interventions.
- Supporting marine coordination (vessels, helicopters, personnel transfers, daily meetings and weather monitoring).
- Managing the Offshare application and liaising with the software supplier.
- Acting as Operational Responsible Onshore during offshore interventions.
- Supporting O&M and safety topics within future Offshore and Power Electronics projects.
- Leading or participating in projects and working groups.
- Contributing to the efficient operation of the Offshore Operation Center.
- Carrying out risk assessments, field visits and vessel audits.
- Actively contributing to the further development of Grid Solutions Offshore & Power Electronics.
Your Profile
- A Master’s degree in an engineering or technical field, or equivalent through experience.
- Experience with offshore projects or offshore O&M is a strong asset.
- Strong organisational, communication and coordination skills.
- An analytical, accurate and solution-oriented mindset.
- A proactive and assertive team player.
- Flexibility and willingness to participate in offshore interventions.
- Good knowledge of IT applications.
- Knowledge of offshore safety regulations and procedures, or the motivation to develop this expertise.
- Fluent Dutch and English, with a good command of French. Knowledge of German is considered an asset.
