Help build safe and reliable offshore operations

 

Within Grid Services Offshore & Power Electronics, we ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our offshore and onshore assets every day. Safety is always our top priority.

 

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the maintenance, operational follow-up and continuous development of offshore substations, HVDC converter stations and subsea cable systems. You will also play an active role in integrating new assets and supporting the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects.

Your impact

 

As Safety & Operations Officer – Offshore & Power Electronics, you will support the daily Operation & Maintenance (O&M) activities of our offshore and onshore assets. Working closely with the operational team and the Field Operations Manager, you will combine safety, coordination and operational support with a strong focus on continuous improvement.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Ensuring operational safety and strengthening the team’s safety culture.
  • Organising ERP exercises and planning and following up training, certifications and inspections.
  • Preparing and reviewing procedures, method statements, risk assessments and other safety documentation.
  • Preparing, coordinating and following up offshore interventions.
  • Supporting marine coordination (vessels, helicopters, personnel transfers, daily meetings and weather monitoring).
  • Managing the Offshare application and liaising with the software supplier.
  • Acting as Operational Responsible Onshore during offshore interventions.
  • Supporting O&M and safety topics within future Offshore and Power Electronics projects.
  • Leading or participating in projects and working groups.
  • Contributing to the efficient operation of the Offshore Operation Center.
  • Carrying out risk assessments, field visits and vessel audits.
  • Actively contributing to the further development of Grid Solutions Offshore & Power Electronics.

Your Profile

 

  • A Master’s degree in an engineering or technical field, or equivalent through experience.
  • Experience with offshore projects or offshore O&M is a strong asset.
  • Strong organisational, communication and coordination skills.
  • An analytical, accurate and solution-oriented mindset.
  • A proactive and assertive team player.
  • Flexibility and willingness to participate in offshore interventions.
  • Good knowledge of IT applications.
  • Knowledge of offshore safety regulations and procedures, or the motivation to develop this expertise.
  • Fluent Dutch and English, with a good command of French. Knowledge of German is considered an asset.
