Function

 

Do you have a strong technical affinity and experience in leading multidisciplinary projects? Elia Group is looking for a motivated Project Engineer Substations to strengthen the Engineering & Design Northeast team. As a Project Engineer Substations, you are the key link between the project leader and the engineering firm, responsible for the technical development of projects within a multidisciplinary team in the Northeast region. You ensure the consistency and quality of the design and monitor the project’s functionality. You take proactive measures to ensure the project is delivered according to the planned schedule and scope.

 

Your responsibilities

  • You are actively involved in the entire project process, from feasibility study (conceptual phase) to project closure.
  • You are responsible for the technical aspects of the project and define the technical specifications for tendering and outsourcing of studies.
  • During the detailed study phase, you inform the designers about the technical requirements of the project, ensuring that the scope is correctly implemented.
  • During the execution phase, you support the project leader in solving specific technical problems.
  • In the start-up phase of our new organization, you will actively help to optimize various processes.
  • You proactively detect the impact of new concepts on project operations and report to the team lead.

Your Profile

 

  • You have a master’s degree in civil or industrial engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of electricity grids is an advantage.
  • You have a good command of Dutch, along with a good knowledge of French and English.
  • You possess strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
  • You have the analytical ability to solve complex technical problems.

Offer

 

Salary: a competitive salary package, allowance for representation expenses, year-end bonus, double vacation pay, meal vouchers (€10 per working day), eco-vouchers, year-end vouchers as well as bonuses based on individual and group results. 

Insurance: group insurance, hospitalisation insurance and ambulant care insurance for the whole family. 

Vacation: you will be entitled to 20 vacation days, 12 additional vacation days and 3 exempt days (after 1 year of employment) and up to 5 long-service days (1 day for every 3 years in employment). 

Communication: you will be given an iPhone, a phone subscription (for work and private use) and a laptop with internet reimbursement. 

Mobility: we will offer you a company car and public transport or a mobility budget. 

Interest subsidies: after you have been with Elia for 5 years, Elia Engineering will be able to offer you a subsidy to reduce the interest charges on your mortgage loan. This will only be possible if the mortgage loan was taken out when you were already an Elia employee. 

Elia shares: Elia will give you the opportunity to subscribe to shares with a discount of 16.66% on the average share price.
