Function
- Managing and monitoring the external security partner or partners, responsible for static surveillance, mobile patrols and interventions: monitoring contractual agreements, the quality of implementation and alignment with internal needs;
- Coordinating the organisational functioning of the internal Security Operations Center (SOC) and ensuring efficient collaboration between internal and external parties;
- Supporting and ensuring the correct handling of operational security questions; advising on access issues, badge management, site security measures and the following up of specific security reports;
- Playing a crucial role in operational security and reporting on this to various stakeholders;
- Monitoring the operational security budget: checking invoices, preparing budgets, analysing the impact of additional measures on the budget, etc.
- Coordinating the incident management process (security incident response plan) at Elia: analysing reports, monitoring the handling and implementing improvement proposals;
- Monitoring travel security with a view to ensuring the safety of employees during foreign business trips;
- Acting as a central point of contact about incidents with a potential impact on the safety of employees, infrastructure and the company;
- Preparing reports, analyses and recommendations in respect of incidents, threats and risks, with the continuous improvement of processes and measures in mind;
- Coordinating event security, which includes preparing security files and inspections upon delivery of the event location.
Your Profile
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with a relevant specialisation (safety sciences, criminology or political sciences) or equivalent experience;
- A private investigator certificate or willing to complete the course necessary to obtain this certificate;
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a security-related domain;
- In-depth knowledge and experience of incident processes;
- Insight into threat analyses, risk management and organisational resilience;
- Fluent spoken and written command of French or Dutch (basic knowledge of the other language is also necessary);
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex information and translate it into concrete action;
- Proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and in a team;
- Experience with the preparation of procedures, plans and reports.
