To support the continuous evolution of our Asset Management solutions, we are looking for a Software Solution Specialist to join our Asset Product Team as the technical lead for strategic software products and platforms.
In this role, you will combine technical expertise, solution design, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver innovative digital solutions that create business value and support critical asset management activities.
Function
As a Software Solution Specialist, you act as the technical reference within the Asset Product Team. You bridge business needs and technology, ensuring the successful design, integration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of both custom-built and commercial software solutions.
Working closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, developers, testers, Scrum Masters, suppliers, and business stakeholders, you help deliver scalable, secure, and future-proof solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead within the product team and take ownership of all technical aspects of the product lifecycle.
- Challenge, validate, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Contribute to solution architecture and ensure technical solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements while adhering to internal IT, security, and technology standards.
- Coordinate with internal functional and technical platforms throughout both delivery and operational phases.
- Provide technical expertise on software components and advise on technology choices, resource needs, and IT budget estimates.
- Lead the build, deployment, and operational support of custom-developed solutions, primarily based on Microsoft technologies such as .NET.
- Manage the integration and adaptation of off-the-shelf (OTS) solutions within the broader IT landscape.
- Perform fit-gap analyses and contribute to technical evaluations, RFI/RFP processes, and software selection activities.
- Support incident, problem, and maintenance management by monitoring suppliers, SLA/KPI performance, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to product roadmaps, supplier management, license discussions, and SLA definition in collaboration with the Product Owner.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent through experience. Experience within the electricity sector is considered a plus.
- Proven experience in software development, software integration, and/or solution management.
- Good knowledge of enterprise software solutions, preferably within Asset Management or Grid Asset Management environments.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies such as .NET, Visual Studio, and SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure, containerization technologies (e.g. Docker), Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with fit-gap analyses, requirements definition, and software selection processes.
- Solid understanding of software architecture principles, security standards, compliance requirements, and IT service management processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and engaging with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, autonomous, customer-focused, and collaborative.
- Fluent in Dutch and/or French, with a strong command of English.
