Function
We are looking to hire a .Net Software Engineer to strengthen our Development Chapter at Elia Group. In this role, you will be responsible to develop according to the best practices to a Product/Application following the guidelines defined by the .Net Guild focusing on Security, respecting SLDC.
You will work alongside with other Developers to ensure that everything planned is delivered.
Your main assignment will centre around your application/product team, which your knowledge will contribute to key responsibilities and with collaboration among your team.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate actively with the development and optimization of .Net-based software applications.
- Good knowledge of .Net Stack (C#, Blazor, WPF)
- Follow the best practices, and patterns, ensuring code quality (avoid Code Smells, Security Hotspot, etc.), testing, and deployment (CI/CD).
- Conduct code reviews.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Join .Net Architecture meetings and Dev Chapter Days, those meetings are important to keep update with new approaches defined for applications at Elia Group and to proactively share new ideas.
Your Profile
- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or a related technical field, or have equivalent relevant experience
- You have at least 6 years of experience in .NET development
- You have a strong understanding of IT security requirements and their implementation, ideally within critical infrastructure environments
- You are familiar with Windows VM environments and have experience with databases such as MSSQL and MongoDB
- You have experience working with RabbitMQ
- You have solid knowledge of software design patterns, scalability concepts and continuous integration practices
- You are familiar with test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium)
- You are able to work with legacy code and contribute to refactoring initiatives
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- You have experience working in agile environments
- You have strong communication and collaboration skills
- You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch, French and/or German is a plus
