What you will do as a low-voltage technician
Elia has one of the most reliable high-voltage grids in Europe, and that will be partly thanks to you. As a low-voltage technician, you will be responsible for the protection, monitoring and quality of our grid. It's a varied job that includes:
- testing and implementing our protection and monitoring systems;
- being part of our maintenance team of electronic and electrical technicians;
- identifying any anomalies in our facilities and applying suitable solutions;
- dealing with a wide array of technical challenges in a variety of locations.
What you can do already
Elia believes in working with a mix of young and experienced employees, so there is a place for everyone on our team. That said, because safety and quality are our top priorities, we do have a few basic requirements:
- You need to share our passion for all things technical.
- You should have a Bachelor's degree in electricity, electronics or electromechanics or else relevant equivalent experience.
- Experience with protection systems would be a plus.
- You can analyse and modify circuit diagrams.
- You are interested in automation and PLCs.
- You are comfortable working with digital systems.
- You have excellent analytical skills.
- You hold a category B driving licence.
