Function
As Business Analyst “Finance” you will investigate the business processes around Finance and identify opportunities for optimisation or development. You always keep the complex customer needs in mind and thus fulfil a translation function to IT with the aim of developing reliable and user-friendly IT applications in the Finance domain. You use agile working methods in an international environment and participate in the digital transformation of Elia Group. You can continuously develop your knowledge through an active exchange with specialists and stakeholders from different business domains.
Your tasks will include:
- Analysing, describing and defining the business requirements for processes and applications, as well as their modelling to optimise and harmonise the Finance processes;
- Sparring with the business in optimising and harmonising processes by means of analysing, describing and validating business requirements, including modelling processes and information;
- Formulating and validating user stories and defining acceptance criteria based on the business requirements;
- Validating technical specifications with regard to the optimal IT solution;
- Formulating test scenarios and supporting the testing and acceptance processes;
- Developing reports and performing data analysis to support business decisions or improving operational efficiency;
- Advising the product owner and cooperating with the various product teams and product stakeholders in Germany and Belgium in order to evaluate, prioritise and plan the further development and maintenance of the product;
- Preparing and conducting workshops and training sessions with the business, including 2nd line support.

Your Profile
- You have a university master's degree or have an equivalent level through experience.
- You have knowledge of and experience with SAP (SAP S/4 HANA, SAP CO, SAP PS, etc.)
- You have a minimum of 5 years experience working in an Accounting department and minimum 3 years on digitalisation projects
- You have experience in business analysis/needs assessment.
- You have excellent communication and coordination skills (oral and written).
- You are a team player and have strong logical and analytical thinking skills.
- You are bilingual (NL/FR) and have high level knowledge of English (oral and written). Knowledge of German is a plus.
- You can work independently and also lead projects.
- You have experience with Agile working methodologies in a product organisation .
- You are willing to learn and are innovative.
