Function

In this function:

  • You follow the planning and execute the operational processes (both manual or automated) that are required to keep the Load, Generation and Storage (“LGS”) master database up to date. Load, generation and storage units are installations that belong to clients that connect to the Elia grid and produce or consume electrical power, their data is essential data to perform grid analysis.
  • You coordinate with different stakeholders (Customers department, Grid Development, National and Regional Control Center, Power System Experts) to collect data and manage the data quality of the LGS database.
  • You monitor the data quality and take appropriate actions when necessary.
  • You follow the technical guidelines and standards to correctly model and complete the LGS data for network calculation purposes
    • This includes basic LGS unit data like geographical location, production and fuel type, installed capacity, but also more technical data like short circuit contribution
  • You are the first line of contact in case of issues with the data or database, you can properly manage the first line support and escalate when needed to assure proper follow up.
  • You develop expertise on the load, generation and storage data and models, processes and tools.
  • You document any issues or changes to existing processes to allow for continuous improvement.
  • You participate in projects in the data department to improve the data quality, processes and tools.

Your Profile

•    You have a bachelor’s degree in a technical domain.
•    You speak Dutch or French (+willingness to learn to understand a conversation in the other language), knowledge of English is a plus.
•    You are capable to work autonomously, do independent research and ask questions if necessary.
•    You demonstrate rigor in your work, organize yourself in a structured way and respect standards.
•    You are flexible and like to work in an operational environment.
•    You have a strong team spirit and have a client oriented mindset.
•    You are able to communicate clearly.
•    You have strong digital skills and a first experience with coding for data management purposes in a programming language like Python.
•    Knowledge of electrical networks is a plus.
•    Knowledge of Elia is a plus.
