Designer Coordinator
Function
You are hierarchically responsible for a team of designers. You and your team design high-voltage pylons for projects that Elia Engineering implements on behalf of Elia Infrastructure.
As the Tower Infra Designer Coordinator, you manage and coordinate designers, plan studies and supervise quality.
Your most important duties and responsibilities are as follows:
• Play a coordinating role in resource planning for your team:
o Allocate projects to team members and ensure the balanced evaluation of the workload of each individual;
o Monitor and respond proactively to changes in the planning of current and future studies by your team;
o When outsourcing to external partners, prepare the files and make sure they are monitored, checked and evaluated;
• Be accountable for the technical and organisational framework for your team:
o Supervise and guide the development of your staff (in terms of both technical and soft skills);
o Gain expertise in the Tekla tool and contribute to the BIM environment;
• As the job holder directly responsible, you will ensure:
o the application of the Performance Management System (definition of objectives, job dates and evaluations, etc.);
o that KPIs are formulated for the quality of the studies your team has completed and also monitored;
o that you contribute to asynchronous tasks to help designers within Calculations.
Your Profile
You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher secondary education diploma in electromechanics or equivalent experience;
You have a very good knowledge of Dutch or French. A good (spoken and written) knowledge of the other language will be essential;
You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a relevant sector;
You have a strong sense of responsibility and excellent organisational skills;
You have good communication skills, are assertive and customer-focused and have team spirit;
Knowledge and experience of the Tekla drawing software and/or 3D BIM models would be a major advantage;
