Group Digital Portfolio HR Business Partner

Function

 

The Group Digital Portfolio HR BP, reporting to the Group Chief Alignment Officer, will play a pivotal role in building and developing the digital organisation and capabilities of Elia Group.

 

This senior position is designed to bridge critical gaps in workforce planning, sourcing strategies, skill building and change management while fostering collaboration across various departments. The Digital Portfolio HR BP will ensure alignment between demand and supply within the digital workforce, facilitating effective communication and execution of HR strategies tailored to the digital landscape.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Workforce Planning:  You oversee workforce planning for internal and external staff members across the group-wide digital portfolio. You develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract and retain top talent in digital functions internationally.

 

  • Change Management: You lead change management initiatives to support the transition towards a product operating model and collaborate with transformation teams and local HR teams to ensure smooth implementation of digital strategies.

 

  • Competence Management: You identify and assess the organisation's current and future digital skill needs and design and implement skill development pathways accordingly, to enhance workforce capabilities in alignment with digital objectives and collaborate closely with the Academies for the development of training paths. You monitor and assess workforce competencies to meet evolving digital demands.

 

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: You foster relationships with various stakeholders, including Group Strategy, Group Controlling, and local HR BPs, to facilitate effective total workforce management. You collaborate with digital leaders to create and maintain a culture that supports digital innovation and agility.

 

  • Advisory Role: You provide expert advice on workforce planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance follow-up related to the digital portfolio and you challenge and support sub-portfolios in their demand planning and resource allocation efforts. You provide guidance for senior management (Elia Group Executive Team/ Local Executive Teams/Group Digital Committee) and are a sounding board and support for local HRBP’s in preparing & implementing people planning strategy & sourcing strategy for digital portfolio. 

 

  • Group HR Business Partner role: you play an active role in the development, implementation, and harmonisation of an effective HR policy (organisational development, staff planning, skills management, career planning, etc.) for a part of the Group IT and Digital activities. You will ensure that this policy meets the company's needs and enables the Elia Group to pursue its strategy and achieve its objectives in a favourable social climate. You act as an advisor and support for change projects within your portfolio, ensuring that they run smoothly. You act as a point of contact for the managers and employees of the divisions in your local portfolio.  For that part of the role, you work also closely with local HR management.

Your Profile

 

  • You have a master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • You have a minimum of 10 years of experience of working in HR and/ or digital or technology-driven environment
  • You have extensive experience in HR business partnering, workforce planning, or talent management, preferably within a digital or technology-focused environment.
  • You have a strong understanding of change management principles and workforce development strategies.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • You are comfortable to challenge senior leaders in a constructive way, building on your expertise and interpersonal skills.
  • You have proven ability to navigate complex organizational structures and to manage cross-functional collaboration.
  • You have a track record of excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
