Incident Manager - Application Guard
Function
As an Application Protection Officer at Elia Belgium, you will be a part of the Strategy Implementation and Transformation Office (SITO). This department serves as a vital link between Business and IT, spearheading the development of future energy systems. Your mission is to ensure the high availability of critical applications and platforms within Elia's Customer, Market & System (CMS) division.
At Elia Belgium, you will contribute to the reliability and sustainability of the electricity supply, which is crucial for the energy transition. You will join a dynamic team working on innovative solutions to enhance the energy market and facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources. Your role is essential in supporting operational continuity and advancing technological progress within the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure high availability of critical applications.
- Support business and operational continuity through technological solutions.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure services for effective incident management.
- Document and implement preventive measures in coordination with quality teams and business analysts.
- Communicate incidents and decisions with an understanding of business processes and priorities.
Daily Activities:
- During Business Hours:
- Deepen knowledge of CMS and Assets domains.
- Support core areas, coordinate testing, and assist in incident management.
- Set up preventive measures to improve security and availability.
- Outside Business Hours:
- Operate in a 24/7 rotational mode.
- Activate failsafe processes and handle incident management.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure services and maintain documentation knowledge.
Your Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Excellent command of Dutch and/or French, with good knowledge of English.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to switch between technical and business teams.
- Experience with business process and data modeling, functional analysis, and understanding of IT infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Initial professional experience in the energy sector.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Customer-oriented, flexible, critical thinking, and team-oriented.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotational mode.
- Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
