Junior Consolidation & Reporting Officer
Function
- Manage and perform month-end and year-end closing activities for centrally-managed Belgian companies (BEGAAP and IFRS) in close collaboration with the Accounting Manager
- Oversee general ledger entries in both accounting standards and control of data import into the consolidation tool
- Supervision of the reporting activities for group companies: planning, critical review of reporting packages, complex accounting issues, …
- Support to the ICO reconciliation process
- Preparation of monthly/periodic IFRS reports (reporting packages) under the supervision of the Consolidation Manager
- Support for consolidation activities via the SAP BPC consolidation tool
- Preparation and coordination of IFRS half-year/annual reports for various consolidation groups
- Center of excellence for accounting issues serving Group companies (BE GAAP and IFRS analyses): supervise and provide guidance to accounting staff and to other internal stakeholders under supervision of the Consolidation Manager
- Collaborate with auditors
- Prepare and review complex financial statements reports (BEGAAP and IFRS)
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations (BEGAAP and IFRS)
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities (IFRS considerations)
- Assist in special projects and initiatives as needed
- Preparation and/or review of reports for various internal/external bodies such as the BNB/NBB, ESEF reporting, Work Council etc.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree but preferably a Master in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Seniority: 5y
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP), Microsoft Excel and SAP BPC
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Good knowledge of FR or NL + EN
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Team player with effective communication
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Hands on mentality
