We are on the lookout for a Consultant for SAP Procurement to augment our SAP Procurement product team within the Elia Group product organization. Elia uses a S/4HANA 2020 FP03 back-end and is a frontrunner when it comes to SAP innovations.

 

You will be homebased in the Elia Group SAP chapter among other SAP consultants and operate daily as a team member part of a multi-disciplinary product team steered by a product owner.

 

The ideal candidate will handle all technical queries related to the product. Collaborating with the product owner, business analysts, and developers, you will discern and execute the most effective solution to satisfy your clients' needs.

 

Your role will involve consulting the product owner and the product team with the backlog management and prioritization from a technical perspective. As a crucial member of a product team, you will play a pivotal role in the continuous enhancement of the SAP Procurement landscape, covering all aspects of procurement, including supplier management, sourcing and contract management, operational procurement, and warehouse management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Providing expert advice to the product team on the most appropriate solutions
  2. Conduct customer workshops together with product owners and business analysts.
  3. Tailoring new and existing P2P processes within the SAP systems based on the requirements and prioritization of the backlog
  4. Ensure that the technical solution fits to the P2P process and align with corresponding products on technical interfaces and dependencies (e.g. Finance, Controlling)
  5. Overseeing and adopt the customization of new and existing processes with non-SAP systems that form part of the procurement capabilities
  6. Setup and demo SAP Procurement and Logistics functionalities
  7. Provide technical and functional translation of the user stories
  8. Ensure up-to-date & relevant IT documentation
  9. Monitor and analyze technical market trends to ensure state of the art solution.
  10. Ensuring third line support for the product procurement
  11. IT-testing
  12. Contributing to the SAP Chapter organization by 10% of your working time to work on personal growing, knowledge transfer and chapter evolution.

Your Profile

 

  1. A degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience
  2. Extensive experience in SAP Consultancy (>5 Years) within SAP Procurement (Supplier Management, Sourcing and Contract Management, Operational Procurement and Warehouse Management)
  3. Detailed knowledge in SAP MM
  4. Experience within SAP SRM, SAP Ariba (Sourcing, Business Network) will be a plus
  5. Hands-on S4HANA experience is a plus
  6. Not a pure IT approach but also profound knowledge of procurement business processes (P2P)
  7. Good understanding of the agile mindset and a product operating model
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box and roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  9. Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams
  10. Good communication skills
  11. General willingness to travel (<15%)
  12. Language skills: English (C1); Dutch, French or German are a plus
