Function

 

What we expect from you 

 

You will manage our social media strategy. You will create content and implement a communication plan that boosts our visibility, accessibility and interactions with external stakeholders and ultimately enhances our corporate reputation. You will define target groups, adjusting the content and select the appropriate channel (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc) in line with these. You will examine the usefulness of paid-for advertisements and analyse the results. You will keep up with the latest trends and updates and adjust your communication plan in line with these where necessary.   

 

You will work as part of the External Communication & Reputation department, but will be in constant communication with other departments to coordinate their social media strategies, including HR (Employer Branding), Digital Communication (website), Project Communication and the communications team at 50Hertz in Germany. You will also be part of the crisis communication team, which meets in the event of a serious incident or if a reputational risk arises. 

 

You will work with a wide range of content, including press releases, publications, events, videos and photos, quotes, blogs and vlogs, content from external parties, and so on. You will also reply to all questions and requests that come in via info@elia.be.   

 

You will monitor and analyse the results after content has been published. You will report and make suggestions for improving the quality and impact of our digital communications. 
 

Your Profile

 

What skills and experience are we looking for 

 

  • You (preferably) hold a bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, communication, digital media or a related field. You will have experience (at least three years) of working in a similar role, preferably in the energy sector or a related industry.
  • You have an in-depth knowledge of social media platforms. You have demonstrable experience of producing excellent results in content creation and community management.  
  • You write well and you enjoy the process of writing. You can convert complex material into understandable texts that are easy to read. You are able to prioritise your work and differentiate between tasks which are pressing and those which can wait. You ask questions of others so that you fully understand the context and subject of a piece of work. 
  • You have experience in evaluating (data analysis) results, enabling you to report on and optimise our performance on social media. You are able to identify and reproduce social media ads that have produced excellent results in the past.
  • You have excellent communication skills and a creative eye for developing interesting social media content. Ideally, you speak and write Dutch, French and English, with one of these being your mother tongue. 
  • You have a positive outlook on life, are a team player, and come up with solutions to every problem. Since your role will involve continuous and close working with internal and external partners, you are very customer-oriented and you invest a lot of time in coordinating and aligning your work with the desired result. Once your tasks and responsibilities have been defined for a project, you are able to work with a high degree of autonomy. If you are unsure about anything, you always contact the relevant team or your manager. You are stress-resistant and very flexible in a crisis

  • Discounts: you will enjoy a 30% discount on your gas and electricity bill. 
  • Mobility: we will offer you a company car and public transport or a mobility budget. 
  • Elia shares: Elia will give you the opportunity to subscribe to shares with a discount of 16.66% on the average share price.
