Technical Cable Relocation Officer at the Contact Center
Join us as our new Technical Cable Relocation Officer at the Contact Center!
Do you want to play a crucial role in adapting our infrastructure and contribute to the reliability and safety of our electricity grid?
As a Technical Cable Relocation Officer at the Contact Center, you will work on exciting projects where your technical expertise and organizational skills will be central.
What does the role entail?
The Protection and Relocation service of the Contact Center handles all requests requiring adjustments or relocations of Elia's assets.
When detailed analyses and negotiations show that installations cannot be maintained, a case is initiated to relocate the relevant cables.
In this role, you will be a key player in the process.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing plans and data to identify bottlenecks and assess the impact on our installations (for example, through surveys, cable localization, and measurements).
- Developing solutions and selecting locations during the study phase to safely and efficiently relocate our installations.
- Providing information for a clear and comprehensive execution specification document.
- Participating in site and coordination meetings to align project progress and approach.
- Supervising construction sites: reporting to the project team on technical, quality, and safety aspects.
- Managing planning, budget, and procurement oversight.
- Collaborating with other Elia departments, such as MAC, Infra, and NetOp.
- Independently handling small projects from A to Z, managing both the technical aspects and coordination.
Your Profile
Safety is your absolute priority, and you are ready to make a difference with your knowledge and motivation!
Ideally, your profile includes:
- A secondary education diploma or a bachelor's degree in electricity, mechanics, construction, or electromechanics.
- Basic knowledge of cables, lines, and an understanding of the high-voltage grid.
- The ability to read and interpret construction and technical plans.
- Proficiency in IT tools (Word, Excel, drawing programs).
- Willingness to work nationwide, with a valid category B driving license.
- Fluency in Dutch with a good knowledge of French, or a willingness to learn the language. Bilingualism is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, precision, and a willingness to continuously learn.
- The ability to work independently, carefully, and take initiative when needed.
